I have been practising yoga for over 20 years with several yoga teachers. Lalita is an inspiring teacher, her enthusiasm and dedication to the discipline is plain to see. The class includes a good mix of asanas, meditation and relaxation. She infuses a sense of happiness which spreads to the participants and reflects her yoga name – one who laughs and plays.

Lalita conducts a well organised and diverse weekly routine, has a special term focus, is very personable and interested in all participants and has a very respectful, genuine and gentle manner. A wonderful yoga teacher.

ABOUT LALITA

A Warm Welcome.

My name is Laura by birth and I also go by my yoga name Lalita.

​​

I have been teaching yoga and meditation for 10 years. I use this experience and that which I have gained from my own continual practice and training to create powerful outcomes for my students.  

​

I can support you to:

  • explore deeper aspects of your yoga and meditation practice 

  • settle your mind and your nervous system (come out of the flight or fight response) and reduce the impact of stress

  • improve your posture and the functionality of your body

  • relieve neck and back pain 

  • improve your ability to sleep

  • reduce chronic pain and inflammation 

  • improve your sporting performance

  • reduce inflammation in joints and soft tissue

  • improve concentration and performance at work 

PROFESSIONAL TRAINING & EXPERIENCE

 

YOGA & MEDITATION

I spent two years living in a Yoga Ashram to practice the integration of Yoga and Meditation with everyday life. Over the past 10 years I have undertaken over 1700 hours of training in Yoga, Mindfulness and Meditation in both Australia and India. Included in this training is a two year full-time Accredited Diploma in Satyananda Yoga Training from The Academy of Yoga Sciences, 200hr Yoga Teacher Training from InSync Institute, Mindfulness Certification though the American organisation Mindful Schools and foundational training in Trauma Sensitive Yoga with Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga (TCTSY). â€‹â€‹
